Hi Everyone-

T-minus 9 hours until I crash out. I need 1 more lane Wrangler on Sat AM and an upstairs monitor and an outside door monitor for Sunday AM! We have 116 swimmers going to States we should not have trouble filling these positions.

The spectator section ends up feeling like a mosh pit at a concert, the tent area feels like a 3-ring circus, so really the pool deck is the best option (or at least I think so). Please don't make me go recruiting you tomorrow morning to fill these jobs. If I have made it from the pool deck back to the tent area in the middle of the swim meet you know something has gone wrong. Help me out, things are much better for all of us when I can spend my time focusing on my swimmers and my coaches and not have to worry about the jobs.

We can do this! It is just 2.5-3 hours of your life, take a chance, get involved, the meet goes by much faster that way.

Remember no one is getting on that pool deck unless you are doing a job at the meet (official, coach, helper) or a swimmer. No exceptions.

If you are serving in a helper role you must check-in at the check-in table in the team tent area to get your lanyard for Deck access. If you don't have a lanyard, you don't get on deck.

All of the information for the meet is on the Vermont Swimming Website (heat sheets, timeline, livestream info, etc) and in the parent information attached to this email (hint: read it and know it back and front). The entry lists with heats and lanes are attached to this email as well. The heats and lanes will not change so you can quickly find your swimmer and sharpie their event numbers, heats, and lanes on their arms. This is also helpful when your swimmer is asking what they are swimming a zillion times.

Another note: Parking is either at the free shuttle lot or $20 for the day. No credit or checks, just cash. Please have small bills ($5s,$10s, or $20s) or offer to pay for a few cars with a large bill, they will not have change readily available.

Also if you happen to be staying over Saturday Night we have an informal team dinner lined up at Wicked Awesome BBQ!  Families in the morning session can arrive at 5:30pm, order at the counter, get their food, and sit at the picnic tables outside. Then families in the afternoon session will flow in at 6:30pm, as families flow out once they have said hi and finished their dinners.

I am going to hope when I check my jobs list as I settle into my hotel room at 9-10pm tonight, that all jobs are filled and I have nothing to do but get some rest and get ready for the day.
