Hi BTC Barracudas!

Welcome to 2025 Summer Swim Season! Tomorrow (Monday 6/16) marks the start of the regular season swim practices! I hope you all had a great weekend! 

I have a few details for you this week.

Regular Season Practice schedule:

Morning Practices

Monday- Thursday:

Advanced: 8-9:30am

Intermediate: 9:30-10:30am

Beginner: 10:30-11am

Advanced Junior/Junior: 11-11:30am

Friday Funday:

9-11:30 Advanced

10-11:30am Intermediate-Beginners

10:45-11:30am Juniors (not much water time just swimmer of the week and snack, plus team cheer).

Afternoon Practices:

Monday and Wednesdays (only if you are not able to attend mornings due to scheduling conflicts). No Junior option in the afternoon.

Advanced 5-6:30pm

Intermediate 5-6pm

Beginner 5-5:30pm

Here is the start of the practice designations, not a complete list, it is based on the Swimtopia Roster. Not all have registered on Swimtopia. If you are on the list or on this email then you have successfully registered for Swimtopia. We will be finalizing designations over this next week. Reach out if you have any questions.

Events this week:

New Parent Meeting Tomorrow 6/16 @ 6:30pm at BTC pool.

• Opportunity to Meet the Coaches and Ask Questions about the Season.
• Learn about how to get involved and the type of volunteer opportunities available.

Mock Meet Thursday 6/19 @ 5:30pm at BTC.

• Sign-up your swimmer today.
• Sign-up yourself for volunteer positions. Check out the volunteer sign-up on Swimtopia. Here is the sign-up for snack- bar donations.

First Friday Funday 6/20!

• We need people to help with Friday Funday. On Friday Fundays, we have a team activity and then we gather on the lawn for a snack and swimmer of the week announcements. We can have a few people responsible for all Fridays or people can sign-up for a specific Friday that they are available. A person or group of people will be responsible for shopping for and serving the snack for Friday Fun. We have a budget and a general shopping list, but if you want to deviate from the list be my guest. We have 4 Friday Fundays in total- 6/20, 6/27, 7/10, and 7/17. I will send out a sign-up to help organize interested people on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Volunteer Officiating Needed:

• We need stroke and turn officials for our swim meets. Certification requires an online course and open book test, plus 4 shadowing sessions with a certified official. No prior swim experience necessary. Please reach out to me and I can walk you through the process. We need officials to run meets, without officials, no meets.
