Hi Team-

I just want to say how happy I am to be back in the swing of things with summer swim. They are long days and even longer nights, but oh so full of excitement and fun! I want to thank everyone for coming together and working to make this first home meet a success. To all my volunteers and meet helpers it would not have been possible without you. It was a long night but so rewarding to see many swimmers competing and doing their very best. There were so many races that were so close and exciting. I love seeing swimmers testing their abilities and discovering new depth to their own capabilities. Also with each race their stamina and swim skills drastically improve. So thank you so much for making this all possible. I have included results from the meet below. But you can also find them in the sign up calendar tab on Swimtopia under past events.

Now shifting gears to the next meet, another home meet against BCC tomorrow, same schedule. Arrive at BTC by 4:45pm, park at Gutterson, warm up at 5:00, check in for jobs at 5:30, timers and officials meeting at 5:40pm near blocks at the end of the pool, and meet starts at 6pm. Good news is that BCC is a much smaller team than our team, whereas St. Albans, like us, is very large. So hopefully we will have a little shorter night tomorrow. 

I want to take this late night opportunity to urge everyone to sign up for jobs, as you saw we have many roles to fill in order to run an efficient meet. Also I have a few special requests from the coaches, can you please put those events on your swimmer's arm either before or after warm up. The heat sheets with heat and lane information for your swimmer comes right to your app when I publish them around 3pm on meet day. If you have any questions reach out. Also parents of 8& Unders, it would be super helpful if you could help your swimmer get to the bullpen benches on time for their events and make sure they are on their best behavior while in the bullpen. I will be sending more meet information out tomorrow with entries and a jobs list, so look for that around 3pm, and get excited for another fun one!
